THE LINE

After violently assaulting her mother, Margaret, 35, with a long history of both inflicting and suffering violence, is placed under a strict restraining order while awaiting trial: for three months, she is forbidden from contacting her mother or coming within 100 metres of the family home.

But the distance separating her from her home only intensifies her desire to be close to her loved ones. Every day, she returns to this boundary, as invisible as it is impossible to cross.
